Today, Mexico is home to 25 million students in grades K–12. The empowerment that AI literacy and computational thinking can bring is invaluable—especially for students from underserved communities across the country. Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. With CodeAI, Mexican students will have free access to our curriculum, unlocking potential and expanding opportunities for all.

What we Offer

  • Free, standards-aligned curriculum in Spanish (elementary to secondary), including AI foundations

  • Teacher professional development: in-person, virtual, and self-paced

  • Localized resources: lesson guides, unplugged activities, and videos

  • Implementation support: data tracking, frameworks, and experiences from other countries



Our Plan for Mexico

Goal: Build national momentum for computer science and AI education in Mexico—reaching students in every state, equipping up to 100,000 teachers annually, and aligning with the country’s New Mexican School (NEM) vision.

Phase 1- Foundations (2025-2026)

  • Launch flagship CS & AI curriculum in Spanish and self-paced professional development courses for teachers

  • Train an initial cohort of 1K teachers via national and regional workshops

  • Start 5 state pilots (urban + rural mix) with monitoring & evaluation

  • Run Hour of AI campaigns to reach 1.5 million participants

  • Build a Mexico Partner Network to coordinate efforts and share data




Phase 2 — Scale & System Integration (2026-2030)

  • Establish a dedicated CodeAI team based in Mexico to coordinate partners, manage government relations, and provide on-the-ground support for large-scale implementation.

  • Grow gradually to 100K teachers annually, supported by AI-enabled tools and regional coordination.

  • Implement in 32 states with continuous monitoring and evaluation to refine the model.

  • Formalize and consolidate agreements with state governments, pedagogical universities, and NGOs to ensure sustainable expansion across all 32 states.

  • Develop localized toolkits, training materials, and classroom resources tailored to the Mexican education system.
