Teach the New Basics: AI Foundations as Your Next Intro CS Course

Many schools hesitate to adopt AI Foundations because they think it isn’t connected to their current CS offerings. In reality, AI Foundations is the modern, future-ready version of intro CS covering essential computing, data, ethics, tools, and problem-solving skills that students need today. In this 30-minute webinar, LeoLin Bowen, Code.org's Product Engagement Manager and Emma Wingreen, a Code.org Curriculum Developer, break down what the course includes, how it aligns with traditional CS pathways, and why it’s an accessible, free upgrade for any high school looking to modernize its CS offering for 2026 and beyond.

Join LeoLin Bowen, Code.org's Product Engagement Manager, and Micah Kennedy, Code.org's Professional Learning Manager, as they explore quick classroom moves, like comparing AI’s reasoning to a student’s own process or checking AI-generated claims against trusted sources that strengthen digital and media literacy while building confidence and discernment.
