Data/Privacy

To ensure student data is protected and your district is in compliance with Code.org’s policies, we recommend districts sign our Data Privacy Agreement (DPA).

Setting up this agreement helps protect your district when it comes to data and privacy for your teachers and students and prepares your district for features like bulk teacher verification.

Bulk Teacher Verification

Help your teachers start the school year strong by getting them verified in bulk—saving time and ensuring full access to Code.org’s classroom tools and student data features.

Why Verify Teachers?

  • Enables roster syncing and LMS integration
  • Ensures teachers can manage student progress and accounts
  • Reduces friction for classroom setup
  • Unlocks access to secure features aligned with your district’s data privacy agreement

How to Bulk Verify Teachers

Before you begin: Teachers must have created their Code.org accounts using their district or school email domain (e.g., @yourdistrict.k12.us).

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Collect a List of Teacher Emails

  • Ensure all teachers on your list have already created Code.org accounts.
  • Use emails from district or school domains for proper verification.

2. Submit the Bulk Verification Form

  • Paste the list of teacher emails into the Bulk Teacher Verification Request Form
  • The form triggers an internal request to our team.
Submit Form

3. Verification Review & Completion

  • Our team will process your request within 24 hours.
  • Once complete, you’ll receive a timestamped confirmation from verification@code.org.

4. Stay in the Loop

  • The district contact listed on the form will be our main point of communication for any follow-up.
